Class Updates and Reminders

  • We are sorry to announce that SE 40: Overnight Adventure Trip to Little Petroglyph Canyon on China Lake Naval Weapons Station has been cancelled because the Navy will be holding training exercises that weekend. Refunds for those enrolled will be processed by UCI Student Services. We hope to reschedule this event for the Fall semester.


  • Art and Theatrical Imagination (AH 113) has space available at 11 AM on Friday, May 27, in the Woodbridge Onken classroom.  Fascinating UCI Drama Professor Anthony Kubiak returns to OLLI by popular demand.  See the course description on page 12 of your Spring catalog.   • The Spring University Club Forum, co-sponsored by OLLI, will continue next Wednesday, May 18, with UCI History Professor Jeffrey Wasserstrom talking about China and the U.S.: Culture Clash. Buffet lunch begins at 11:15 AM, and is $11.50 for U Club and OLLI members.   • All OLLI members are invited to the Annual Meeting – Brunch for the Bunch at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 31, at the Irvine Duck Club.   • OLLI Technology Boot Camp: There are still some spaces left for a two-hour Technology Boot Camp where you’ll learn how to use the most popular e-mail functions, such as forwarding messages; using Reply versus Reply All; using Copy versus Blind Copy; sorting messages; creating folders; and more. Wednesday, May 18, 10:00 AM–12:00 noon, in the Woodbridge Onken Classroom. The instructors: Karen McKenzie and Barbara Barone, OLLI Office Staff.
