Registration for the Spring 2012 semester is now open! 

  • This semester, we are introducing online enrollment. Just go to and click on Enroll Online Now. You can also call or mail in your registration (see your Spring catalog or the website for more information). For those of you who tried to register online first thing Tuesday morning, there was a small technological glitch. We apologize to those of you who had difficulty. The problem was quickly fixed, and as of this morning, more than 90 OLLI members have registered online, receiving immediate confirmation of their Spring courses.
  • Don’t forget your Fall classes, which continue through January. Consult your Fall 2011 catalog for the schedule. Several of these classes have openings. Contact the facilitators, listed in your Fall catalog, or just show up the day of the class to see if there is an open seat.
  • Please note the following changes to the Spring 2012 catalog: AH 102, Romanticism in Full Bloom, will meet from 1-3 PM for session four (not 3-5 PM). The location and date remain the same. This time change is only for session four. SC 213, Computers, will meet from 10 AM–Noon (not 1-3 PM as listed in the catalog).
  • Travel Talk resumes on Saturday, January 14, at 9:30 AM in the Woodbridge Onken Classroom. Come hear Carol Coppage talk about her trip to Bhutan. BYOB (bring your own breakfast). No reservations required!
  • There is room available in Ethnic Foodways and Belonging in America, a talk by Humanities Dean Vicki Ruiz followed by a special luncheon, Wednesday, January 11, at the University Club. The talk is from 10 AM -12 noon and the lunch begins at 12:30 PM. $26 per person. Guests are welcome.  See page 31 of your Fall catalog for more information. You must  reserve your spot by calling 949-824-5414. Registration for this event is available now – call today to reserve your space.
  • You are invited to a Current Issues discussion class on Tuesday, January 17, in the Woodbridge Onken Classroom from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Topics for discussion will include New World Leaders for 2012, Political Impact of the Euro Crisis, Iraq Aftermath, America’s Foreign Policy Initiatives in Asia, Presidential Primaries, and the Higher Education Crisis in California. You are welcome to bring your own lunch. No reservations necessary.
  • Club OLLI, a new group organized to promote social activities, will be hosting a bridge group on Friday, January 6, at 12:30 PM in the Woodbridge Onken Classroom. An instructor will be provided. If you would like to attend, or if you have questions, contact Ann Melfi at Friends and guests are invited, and there is no fee. Other dates will be announced.
