KIT (Keep in Touch) Mail

  • The Russia Today class will be extended for two more sessions.   The same presentation on Mongolia will be given on:
    • Thursday, February 9 at 10 AM and
    • Monday, February 13 at 1 PM

OLLI members Lonnie Horn and Donna Krebs have put together an in-depth overview of Mongolia as a “sandwich” nation between Russia and China. Please feel free to come to either presentation. No registration is required. For questions contact Peggy Maradudin, maradudin@cs.com or (949) 640-4471.

 

  • Coming up at the University Club Forum, co-sponsored by OLLI: On Wednesday, January 25, UCI Social Ecology Dean Valerie Jenness will talk about what is going on in the School of Social Ecology.   • Club OLLI Bridge continues on Friday, January 20, at 12:30 PM in the Woodbridge Onken Classroom. Members and non-members are welcome to attend. If you have questions, contact Ann Melfi at almelfi@gmail.com.  A Mah Jongg group will meet at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, January 24, at Rancho Senior Center, Room 3. This first group is for experienced players. Beginner groups will meet later. If you would like to attend, RSVP to Estelle Elkin at Estelle.elkin@att.net.
  • A student at USC is conducting a survey about health and wellness practices and attitudes, and would like to include members of our group. The survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete, all information is voluntary and confidential, and you will be entered into a random drawing to win a $25 gift card from Starbucks, Amazon.com, or other vendors when you finish.
