SS 313 – World War II Remembered: Part 5 – Class presentations available.

Week 1 Group WW II pptsThis year we are focusing on the Veterans from the Orange County Freedom Committee who fought in WW II along with Japanese-American servicemen, who will recount their experiences and explain the importance of the oil supply in Africa and eastern Europe at that time.

We will learn about the European Theatre from those who fought there and hear stories from those who flew in the South Pacific as well. Some were shot down and captured. We will hear about the service of the Japanese-American community, and close with the historic details of the fighting involved in securing oil supplies to support the war.
